Peter R. Black

Mr. Black’s practice consists of a general civil litigation practice which has included, but is not limited to: business disputes, personal injury, employment and labor disputes, insurance coverage disputes, boundary disputes, construction disputes, defamation, law enforcement liability, civil rights claims, and disability claims.

In addition to having represented a multitude of individuals in a wide variety of legal matters, Mr. Black has acquired specialized knowledge, through litigation experience, relative to land use disputes, hydro-electric generation and associated water systems, irrigation and sewage treatment facilities, as well as corporate and municipal litigation representing, as counsel or special counsel, such clients as the City of Grand Junction, the Colorado River Water Conservation District, M-K Ferguson Co., U.S. Steel Mining Corporation, West Range Reclamation, LLC, CUNA Mutual Life Insurance Company, Mesa State College, Halliburton Energy Services, Inc., and the Town of Cedaredge, Mr. Black practices in all federal and state trial and appellate courts in the State of Colorado.
